Research supporting programme of the EU, Information Society Technologies (IST), main focus on Technology enhanced Learning

Objective: Research and Development in the area of new technologies for teaching and learning.

Description: IST is a unique, integrated research programme, which aims the harmonisation of information processes, communication- and media technologies. The IST budget amounts to 3.6 billion Euros and is administrated by the "Information Society Directorate-General" of the European Commission.

Expert: amongst others Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Baumeister

The expertise as EU expert includes amongst others:

• Support of the administrative offices, concerning the evaluation of proposals within regard to scientific, technologic and socio-economic aims.
• Proposals concerning the research focus to realise the aims of a specific programme have to be formulated during the evaluation.
• Support of the administrative offices, concerning the supervision of projects, which are selected and financed by the association, as well as the supervision of projects, which are financed by the former supporting programme of the association.

Innovative regional growth cores of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research

Objective: Support of innovative centres of growth in the New Laender.

Description: The programm "Innovative regional cores of growth" is an excellency programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and which has high demands to those who apply to this programme. It focuses on regional entrepreneurial confederacies, which have an detailed innovation strategy and outstanding core competencies.
