Welcome to the ESB-Research Institute
The ESB-Research Institute participates in the innovation process of our economy and society to support the scientific teaching at the European School of Business at Reutlingen University.
Our idea of innovation is extensive and includes a wide spectrum of applied research and development, from the generation of business ideas to the point of new forms of networking in the globalized knowledge society.
This integrative perception assures that individual research results can be embedded in an overall context.

The ESB-RI is a research institute of the Steinbeis foundation.
The Steinbeis foundation succeeds in the sector of technology and knowledge transfer as a competent partner and pacemaker for innovation throughout the world. The Steinbeis network is composed of 4600 experts in over 700 specialised Steinbeis-organisations.
The Steinbeis network is directed by the Steinbeis Stiftung, the executive board and the board of trustees which are responsible for the central cooperation. All commercial activities in the sector of technology and knowledge transfer are managed by the Steinbeis GmbH & Co. KG for technology transfer, which is to 100% a subsidiary company of the Steinbeis Stiftung. Also the ESB-Research Institute at Reutlingen University is part of it.
